Sharp MX4101N L4-45 Error Code

$

I have a customer with a MX-4101N that's coming up with a L4-45 Code. the Service Manual (at least my version) is very confusing as to where the toner cooling motors are located. I don't know if any other techs have experienced this error before and if theres a common fan to cause this problem. The manual states this error is caused by toner cooling fan 1 or 2 (with 3 total). I believe ive looked at every fan in this machine and they are all rotating. Has anyone seen these spin but still not send the proper signal back to the PCU board? Or do these models have common bad PCU PWBs that cause this error code. Thanks in advance.

MPC3000 color registration off only half the page

Looking at the sample images the color reg is off for the top half of the page or the bottom depending on the orientation.
(Most noticeable on the very bottom line of print on the sample image)

Only has 7,000 color prints and 9,000 b&w prints total.
I thought the adjustments would work for the entire page so what could cause half off?

MP301 - dud model?

$

I have come across a growing number of MP301 machines that are exhibiting all kinds of faults (even from new!)

One of these faults is SC204 - Ricoh says that it is poor pcu to machine contact.... I have yet to see this! We have one particular machine where we have replaced the palygon, did the pcu bend and clean, replaced the Bicu and STILL IT COMES BACK!! ARGGGHH!!

Firmware does not seem to fix any of these issues to date....

Also these seem to jam for no reason!?? One of our branches have made a mod where they fit the previous series stripper holders... these seem to have limited remedy value, as I have not seen a 100% improvement to date.

Does anyone have any help to offer on these 2 issues??

It would be greatly appreciated!

Xerox and Information Security - Protecting Your Data So You Can Focus on What Matter

Overview

Information is every organization’s key asset, and security is essential to the office—for documents*and for any devices connected to the network. And in the 21st century, the network is*the hub of virtually all business activity.
The threat is very real and the stakes are growing at exponential rates. A breach in the security*of an organization’s documents can result in unauthorized use of sensitive or proprietary*information. It can lead to harmful disclosure, stolen or compromised intellectual property and*trade secrets. And for many organizations, these security breaches can end with costly fines*and litigation, to the tune of hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars.
When it comes to networked multifunction printers, or MFPs, additional vulnerabilities can be*present because these devices can print, copy, scan to network destinations, send email attachments*and handle incoming and outgoing fax transmissions. For those in IT, it’s critical to*the security of an organization’s network to make sure that security infractions can’t happen*through network-connected MFPs—or at the devices themselves.*
After all, attacks can originate in unexpected ways:

  • The phone line attached to an MFP could be used to access the network
  • The web server used to manage the MFPs and printers may be vulnerable to attack
  • Unprotected electronic data can be inappropriately accessed while at rest on the hard disk,or in motion to/from the device
  • Malicious emails can be sent from an MFP with no audit trail

A multifunction device is a sophisticated, multiple sub-system IT platform, and meaningful*security measures must comprehend every element of the platform.

Turning Wax Into Silver

Combine creative people and unlimited technology, and anything can happen. That’s what we advocate*and live at 3D Systems. Since we’ve got both creativity and technology in house, when projects come*along, we like to see for ourselves just how far we can go. So when a request came for some 3D Systems*cufflinks, we went to work.
Our training specialist, Lu McCarty took on the project, utilizing 3D Systems software and hardware, along*with some friends in the jewelry business, to see this project from concept to manufacturing. What makes*this story so nice is that it parallels the manufacturing process that a jeweler might use everyday, and it*shows the power of 3D design and 3D printing technology to supercharge that process.
The request came on August 3, 2013, when Senior Director of Functional Design Scott Summit sent out an*internal request: “Does anyone have any 3D Systems cufflinks? I’m going to a black tie dinner.”*
Lu began work on the project shortly thereafter, creating a design using a combination of Geomagic®*Design™ Direct, a comprehensive reverse engineering and direct modeling CAD package, and Geomagic*Wrap®, which transforms point cloud data into 3D polygon meshes. When it came time to print, he used*the ProJet® 3510 HD Max for prototyping and the ProJet® 3510 CPX for printing wax casting patterns.
Here’s how he got to the final product.

Error Code Ricoh DDP70e Any tray except MBT Load Letter LEF

$

Hi All

I have a Ricoh Badged DDP70e that worked fine on Saturday last. Then this Tuesday comes up with a error message that in itself is misleading. The message is "Any tray except MBT Load Letter LEF" . Well we use A4 Paper in Tray 1 SEF. When doing a Test Print of the text i.e. Alice in Wonderland it prints perfectly. I have maintained the machine for over 7 years now, so there is no confusion of the tray or paper being wrong. Have tried printing from another PC and got the same message. Had an IT come round and check network cables etc. and viruses. All OK. The file is received by the printer as one has to delete it from the front panel. Did have the red flags in the count settings of the Drum to be replaced. Thought I had got the answer. But still get the same message. I note in the manual that this is the first error message because it starts with an 'A'. Getting a feeling it is something more serious, but what. I have switched on/off a number of times, done test prints from the machine OK but even a test print from the PC gives an error message. It seems that the machine receives the file to print but not the parameters re tray, duplex, number of copies etc.

Am really stuck now. Just printed another test print - machine works like a dream. Print a file - no ways !!

Please help if you can

David

Y axis subsystem error. Drum turns which tells me vertical axis motor functions ok. Maint roller kit lifts and engages and disengages normally. Found waste ink under the maint kit and removed it and then the printer started up normally and was fine for one day. Started the printer up again today.......same error code has returned. Since the maint kit lifts normally and based on the fact the printer started normally and worked for one day....I assume that the dm camshaft is ok. Printhead moves freely both vertically and horizontally. When you turn the printer on if it doesn't throw the code in the first 30 seconds, the printer starts up and works great until you turn it off and let it cool down and restart it. If you turn it off and a few minutes later start it back up again it initalizes fine. Only after completely cooling down and restarting does this occur. Any ideas much appreciated.

Hi guys,

Anyone of you familiar to this problem before?

At the beginning, I try to service (k) drum unit, clean up developer, drum, blade and contact points but problems remain the same..

Second attend, I replaced (k) IU unit, hopefully can solved but no luck. There after, i suspect transfer roller and replace with another used unit (good unit), however problem remains the same.
lastly, I access service mode, change transfer value setting by adding it. Shadow had gone and my print out didnt effect much like blur or having background.

Anyone has better solution or know the why??
Aprreciate for your sharing..

Good morning all,

According to another website (Fixya) "50.7 means that the photo sensor ps6 detected no movement." I replaced the fuser assembly, and still no joy. Just to check for fuser roller movement, I was able to feed a sheet of paper thru the fuser with no problem.

Any assistance would be deeply appreciated.

Have one kicking my tail. It is putting some junk on the BACK of the copy. It is on the lead edge only and appears within the leading inch or so. Not a solid shadow, just kinda shading in Areas. If you do 2 sided, it is on both sides of course. One sided isn't such a big deal as they don't really notice the back. Happens on prints, internal reports, etc. I have replaced drum, dv unit. It doesn't really look like fuser junk to me, but could be wrong. Has anyone had a transfer roller cause issues like this?

Canon mp 600 - B200 error then quickly turns to 5010

Hi all. So i have this Canon mp600 that keeps bringing up the error codes that i talked about in the title. I bought 3 other printers and replaced the scanner and the printhead, same error. The last one i bought did not power up. I talked to the person from whom i bought the printer and it said that before it the power supply got defective, it worked ok. I changed the power supply and again, the b200 and 5010 error appeared. Any ideas how to fix this? Thanks
