Hi,

I've had Ricoh/Savin/Gestetner machines since 3800's, used for a UK Swimming-Club, nicely producing all our material for membership&administration, events recording etc... Going through a couple of 3245's and now an ISC4045...

Having to reset PM's, replace PSU's etc, I've had a bit of practice, but recently bad luck has left us printer-less just at the wrong time... :-~ . The ISC stopped switching on just days after getting rid of our working 3245 to make space...

A friend had not-working Ricoh3245 and a Gestetner445's, so I thought I'd have a go at putting them together this week... I got to a point (getting past 990 errors etc) I can make the "built-up" machine work at all (although doesn't know of the ARDF), only feeding thick-paper from the bypass, but then the fuser always jams....

Can I guess I'm at a "firmware" issue? If it is, am I needing different firmware depending on "Richoh or Gestetner"? Does the PNP machine-type matter as it works best with about half (boards from the Ricoh, engine of the Gestetner). I've got all the boards/nvram/disks/SD cards marked as Machine1/2,

Would love some advice if anyone can, any pointers?

Best regards
NEAL
