I just noticed recently that there are three pertinent bulletins, I'd like to execute on a FS-C2626MFP.
The first is C4600 errors, in which the laser slit glass cleaner stalls. I don't think that I'm going to be replacing laser assemblies for a $0.10 piece of molded plastic. I think I'll try to lubricate for this problem. The bulletin explains this one pretty well.
The second is Door Open indications, especially after opening the top lid. The bulletin explains that after a certain serial number there is a change in the lever that operates the cover switch, and that the lever is not available separately as a maintenance part. How helpful! So we should just throw out any machines before that serial number? I don't see the customer liking that too much.
The third is light images issue, in which the bias contact spring makes poor contact. Again, the bulletin identifies a problem and serial number range, but offers no solution. Don't you just love Kyocera?
I've started an email conversation with my tech rep ... at least I think he's my tech rep. I get the feeling that I am irritating him with silly questions. He never really answers my questions. I don't know why I bother to ask him.
