Error Code C224e with code C-9401
Hi guys,
Ok, we had a C224e give the code C-9401. It reset ok, all good so far. The next day it does the same thing but will not reset, the expo lamp fluctuates in intensity and then it codes out with C-9401.
There was nothing on the tech site for this code except a production line modification at the tail end of 2013, on the non e series. Our machine is only 2 months old, but we checked the CCD cable clamp. This was good.
So we took a lamp assy, SCDB and PRCB to try. None of these cleared the code, so they we left in that machine and we took the others away to fit back to our machine. This is where its gets tricky. The 3 parts get fitted back to our machine and we have the same C-9401 code! So thats both machines which now have the code!
Not sure if it is relevant or not, but the donor machine is brand new and has not been set up. Although my understanding about KM boards is that if it comes as a spare part it will be new and blank. Whereas a brand new machine which has not been switched has FW and is programmed for the correct model etc.
We tried a hard reset on our device, in case the code was stored in memory, but no joy. Also, the brand new machine pre-drives for a very long time, longer than it should. But I dont know if this is related to the code or because it hasnt been set up.
I thought I'd ask for your valable input :-)

The original P/N requested is Ricoh 828279 ( the part number here in the US 828277) I believe you will see as the Euro Ricoh Toner Black 82K Yield P/N 828278 with an Alt P/N 828292. Let me know if you can quote w/ price and availability. I am in the USA and my customer is in Asia looking for 200 ctns. The Ricoh channel in N. America for this machine is rather spotty.

6500i J6210
We've taken over service for an account with several 6500i and two 5550ci. I've been doing this for 20+ years but am newbie with Kyocera. The troubleshooting guides have been a great help so far. Didn't see anything about j6210 (finisher eject jam) in it. Anyone have any suggestions for this?

6500i J0518
Since I asked about the J6210, I thought of another question. I have five 6500i's, all have above 1 million on the counter, that have been giving J0518 jams only when duplexing. I've done everything in the troubleshooting guide except replace the $600 conveying unit. The odd thing is all but one will duplex fine from tray 1 or 2. Can't even get 30 pages before it jams from tray 3 or 4. I replaced all the drive clutches in tray 3/4 and the vertical feed ones as well (which was no small task to do in 5 6500i's). That fix'd three of them. I completely disassembled the conveyance unit and scrubbed all the rollers, which helped in the other two, but I still see some j0518 code in their history. Anyone here fought with this jam code as well?

Canon IR 1600 fixing unit problems
Hello, I have problem with Canon IR 1600. 3/4 of the paper (at the begining) has text fixed, but 1/4 (at the end) is not fixed - when you put your finger on text you can smudge the text. Do you have any idea what to change: pressure roller, fixing roller, halogen heater or thermistors?

MP C3002 SC 899
I posted a little while back about my MP C3002 getting a SC899 code, and i was told to update the firmware and at first that seemed to work but then it came back. I have since then put in a brand new hard drive and i am still gettin the 899 code. Any ideas why i am getting that?

bizhub 654e with intermittent C9401
I've got a long list of possibilities, and I'm ranking them like this:
1) CCDB: 40%
2) Flat Cable: 20%
3) SCDB: 20%
4) Inverter: 10%
5) Lamp: 5%
6) something else: 4%
7) MFPB: 1/2%
8) firmware: 1/2%
The threads seem to be leaning towards the CCDB. It clears, but returns within a week.
I've got a very attentive keyop so if there were any quality samples to be had, I would have them. The lamp consistently lights, nice and brightly. I've done all the free and easy stuff: Firmware, and reseating connectors all the way back to the MFPB.
Have I missed anything? How about the rankings? =^..^=

Hello Every one, Imaging Unit plays a vital role in which the Machines cannot do without. i think there are still need for people with ideas on how to fix certain things in IU before one could be compel to buy a new one. Please if you have any Idea on how your IU can be repaired or fix without buying a new one would be a great deal. Issues like or the Functions of , Cleaning Blade, Drums, Developer and other parts contain in the Unit. Please just share it could be helpful to all.
