Customer with 105+ with a m3 controller.Customer is able to print small pdf jobs with no problems as well as large copy jobs. When printing a large pdf of 600 double sided prints the screen on the copier will go blank and turn back on.no error code .I suspect the controller....

Brother MFC-8950DW Paper Jam Issue
I am trying to repair printer for a client. They had brought in the printer because it was not crinkling papers in large print jobs and during those large print jobs the toner wasn't always properly fused to the paper. The fuser roller was very wrinkled which upon further research was suggested to be replaced. The replacement fuser assembly worked great. The only issue client reported was that duplex pages often had toner splotches on the back. This problem was cause by when toner leaking into the printer when the client transported it back to their location. It was brought back into the shop and one of the techs sprayed out the inside of the printer with compressed air. It printed fine for a few pages and it did appear to correct the issue with the toner splotches, however we noticed an increase in paper jams. The printer now jams after only printing one sheet. It doesn't matter if it is duplex or single page mode or a copy job or a print job. The results are always the same. The first page prints and then the second page will be partially through the fuser unit and a third page will be being picked up from the paper tray. The second page is normally about 2-3 inches out of the fuser. What is strange is that the printing on the second page is that it starts about 3 inches lower than what it should be and how it prints on the first page. The printer also reports a paper jam if I am only doing one copy, even though the copy comes through just fine. If I open the printer is does not have any stuck pages when only doing one copy. It also reports this error even if I only have one sheet in the paper tray. These issues happen both in the regular paper tray and the manual feed tray.
I did try the old fuser unit again and the paper jam issue occurs with that as well.

MPC2051 condensation under platten glass
Hey guys,
Would anyone happen to have ordered the anti condensation heater for the scanner unit on an MPC2051 by any chance?
The manual lists it as a spare part but(of course) no part number.
I have a machine that is housed in a wooden church hall and it gets to -1 in there and you can literally see water fog on the underside of the platen glass and on the mirrors.
Moving the machine is not an option and neither is me driving to the bush once a week to clean the optics :(
I've got a call logged with Ricoh support for the part number but i thought I'd try here....coz you don't have enough calls of your own :p

Restricting SMB Folders in Domain
I had a fun install today. The client had outside IT that he wasn't a big fan of so he gave me free reign to experiment on his domain controller.
What we wanted to do.
Create a domain user "Scanner" for universal authentication -- No problem.
Create a Share Folder with ten or so Subfolders for each employee -- No Problem.
Create a Mapped drive on every workstation to see the "Scan and Subfolders" -- No Problem.
Restrict the Bosses folders so no one else could open them -- MAJOR PROBLEM
It seems all the Sharing/Security settings, no matter how granular, could not do this.
The permissions are based on Groups so if I restrict "Users" or "Everyone" in anyway it takes effect on Scanner and Bosses and therefore doesn't work.

Mp 7502 sc 320-01/ sc 380-21
Need some help. We have a MP 7502 that was installed in March it only has a meter of 67K.
When copying, receiving faxes, or printing, after the last page exits the machine, six seconds later it displays a SC320-01. The code can be reset, then I am able to run a SMC report.
The service code history records a SC320-01 and A SC380-21 simultaneously.
SC320-01 = Development output abnormal- The high voltage applied to the development unit is detected 10 times higher than the upper limit (45%) of PWM. - Development bias leak due to poor connection. Possible cause = Development power pack defective, or defective connector
SC380-21 = Potential sensor calibration error (skew) - During drum potential sensor calibration, the drum potential sensor output voltage does not meet specification when test voltages (100V, 800V) are applied to the drum. Possible cause = Potential sensor defective, Potential sensor harness disconnected, Potential sensor connector defective or disconnected IOB defective, OPC connector defective, Development power pack defective
If I go to the Copy Window from SP mode I can make as many copies as I want with no problems, but as soon as I return to normal operation I can make as many pages as I want but as stated before 6 seconds after the last page it will code out.
I have an identical machine 10 feet away, and have also made an observation that on my problem machine when the last page exits it will display a ready status for 1 second and then go to a please wait prior to the code. The properly operating machine never goes to a please wait, it just returns to Ready.
The original tech replaced the Development Power Pack twice with no change in the status.
I then was called in to assist. The first thing I did was update all the firmware. I then started swapping units with the known good machine to see if the problem would change or move to the other machine. I tried the development unit, Then the PCU, and then Charge corona, and lastly all the units together. there was no change in my machine or the good machine.
I called Tech support. They had me remove the development unit and then run output check on Development Bias, I did not get nay failure. I then reinstalled the development unit, and then ran a forced process control it instantly gave me a sc 320-01. They had me order the BCU, I returned the following day and installed the BCU there was no change. Working further with tech support I cheated the door and took voltage readings from the front frame of the dev. unit. when the page is passing through the voltage will go up to approx 520 VDC, then briefly drop to zero, and then seconds later jump back to 520 VDC, and code again. The zero reading coincides with the ready state on the op panel and then the return to 520VDC coincides with the Please wait. The same process on the good machine has the voltage drop to zero and remain at zero after the page exits the machine.
Tech support then had me order the EEPROM because it appeared that there is a logic signal causing the machine to apply the 520VDC at the end of the cycle. I returned with the EEPROM today. Unfortunately that did not change my status.
Tech support has no further ideas at this time:(

ws2012R2 Bizhub C450, computers unable to find Bizhub after network upgrade
Bizhub C450, (no fiery connected) computers unable to find printer after network upgrade (ws2012R2)
Even searching using IP and MAC addresses.
Even connecting directly to a win 7 computer acts like it is finding but print test fails
Ping IP, no connection.
NIC lights blink, I replaced network cable no help
We had also upgraded the wireless router, so removed, reinstalled old router, no help
Computers can print to other printers, can see and open files on server,
So apparently a setting is wrong in the Bizhub C450.(unless the NIC suddenly failed)
Another tech (no KM C450experience) had looked at the C450, to evaluate,
to see if he would be any help to re-deploy the network
I do not believe he changed anything, but may have without being aware he did.
I haven't been able to figure out the change, what is turned off/on that should be
so probably need to re-start setup. Any pointers would be wonderful

the NEW win server 2012R2 almost requires that you use a domain.
We started to set up domain, but when printer would not connect, we decided to go back to a workgroup
so we removed the domain and set up using a workgroup similar to prior server.

xerox DC12 clear image top and bottom
Hello friends. I have a problem with the xerox dc12. As shown in the figure, the image appears to me very clear on top and bottom. I recently replaced:

MX5112 E7-20 Error
Hi ,
I have a MX5112 which keeps coming up with E7-20 error.
It is running the latest firmware and only errors every 20-30 copies. When the code is reset it works again for around 30 copies then does it again.

MPC 3003 SC899 / 819
I have a MPC3003 that was showing SC899 on arrival so I updated the firmware and switched it back on SC899 came on again even with network unplugged tried format the HDD and then it shows SC819 whilst trying to do the Format HDD ALL procedure Any Ideas other than a Dead Controller?

Ricoh MP 2550 Scans come out B&W when scan in color is chosen
I have a customer that is trying to scan in color and the scans are arriving at the destination folder/email account in B&W. Anyone ever seen this? It's a Ricoh MP 2550 / Lanier LD425. I have confirmed they are selecting color in the scan settings.

Bizhub C220 black image problem low image density
Hello.
Problem: low toner density
When: Copying and printing, but only sometimes.
Sometimes when printing or copying the page is almost blank, but in 30 copies for example appear one or 2 in the middle like that, the rest is ok.
Yesterday in almost 100 copies only happen to me in 3 sheets.
Someone already have the same problem?

MX3640 Mixed color/black page printing
I placed a new MX3640 in the field yesterday and the client asked if the printer would be able to detect a black page in a color print job and only click a black print for that page. I am pretty sure we should be able to do this but I just didn't see the setting that worked to accomplish this. Any help is appreciated.

Error Code Designjet 9000s
I was working on a Designjet 9000s. I don't have TOO much experience with these printers, and they don't seem to follow the conventional Designjet protocols (looks like they were made by another company and HP put their name on it). The error light is flashing on this thing, but there's no error showing up. I did notice, that when I went to print something, a message popped up saying some preventive maintenance things needed to be replaced soon, but didn't say what. I can't for the life of me find ANYHTING in the user's or service manual.
