I was hoping to be able to get a customer to be able to scan to G-mail. After trying all the tricks I called up Tech Support. They informed me that we will not be able to set up SSL for G-mail, Yahoo, Go Daddy or AT&T etc. Due to the fact that the NIST has mandated that all root certificates that use 1024-bit keys be moved to 2048/3072-bit keys. Of course our equiptment does not support this yet. Tech support is "working" on it and has no time line when it will be ready. I was able to confirm this on Google's online security blog. This all started last year around july. So if you have customers that are having the hit/miss when it comes to scan to e-mail... this is the cause of it...not our equiptment
