Miscellaneous Lookiing for a upgrade to scan on Toshiba E-Studio 550

Hi,
I have a great running E-Studio 550 in my shop that I want to sell but I don't have scan capabilities. It has the 810 Series Controller in it. Anyone know if I can get an upgrade for this or is it not worth trying?

info on dropouts

i had a customer that was complaining about scan to email dropping off and very slow.their IT said it was the copier that was at fault i checked the machine and as i got to the web page i was checking the settings and it dropped out.
after contacting their IT we went through everything together .their server was at the IT companys premises.when we pinged the ip address for the scanner it was losing packets and was very slow.he went through all the connections and found that there were mobile phones using the same ip address so he locked the ip address to the scanner.i went round the office and turned all the phones off and restarted them and all was ok.
just thought i would let you know in case you have a mystery scanning problem

HOW TO: Create and Import SSL Certificates for Canon MFPs

Canon imageRUNNER & Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE devices:cool:

In order to use secure connections with SSL between a uniFLOW server / RPS and a Canon MFP, it is necessary to create an SSL certificate on the printer and import it to the server. The SSL configuration also
applies to MEAP connections.
The new certificate must include either the printer’s IP address or the fully qualified domain name. Note that the configuration slightly differs between Canon legacy devices and
imageRUNNER ADVANCE series.

Dead Machine Ricoh mp 6001, no warm up, no display

Guys,

Need help with this one, MP 6001, doesn't warm up and no display after I turned it on. first it caused by jam paper, after I removed the paper mis-feed, display prompt need to restart, 3 times same issue. after the 4th time when I turned it on, the main problem occurred. :(

Jamming TaskAlfa 3050ci - J4101 Z-folding jam

Hi Guys I need some help here. I have a TaskAlfa 3050ci that is giving a J4101 jam code. The device is jamming with a Z-fold at the registration roller. If I try to make a print from the 2nd cassette or MP tray it will jam exactly the same way with jam codes J4102/4109 respectively.I have swapped the conveying unit and the registration section on the machine. I have checked the flat ribbon cables on the engine pwb and feed pwb as we had a previous case where the flat ribbon cables were at fault.

Error Code Lexmark X746 283.01 error code

I have a Lexmark X746 with a 283.01 error code. This code appeared after a paper jam was removed from the scanner unit. There appears to be no obstruction in the paper path and the sensor switch is free.
Does this code have to be reset? I am not very familiar with this printer.:confused:

MPC2050 Firmware and ADF Prroblem

Hello,
I need firmware for MPC2050. Also the printer is not seeing the ADF at all. I replaced the ADF with a similar one from MP2550, still did not see it. The printer also shows error sc565 if left for some minuites. I need help pls

Quick dial/one touch buttons not working

Hi there,

I have recently setup an MP171 to scan to folder and setup presets for this via the WIM.

It's working fine apart from the fact that the numbered preset buttons to the left of the front panel aren't working?

I've set this up before and obviously whoever is registration number 03 in the address book should pop up when you hit the 03 button but nothing happens?

C284 Drawer 2 Issue

We have an ongoing issue with a C282 and drawer two not feeding correctly. The paper will feed 1-2 inches out of the feed assembly and just stop. Holding the bottom of the side door in lets it feed ok.

All latches look ok. The black plastic part to the left is all intact (there was a tech bulletin out for it). The tension spring for the paper pick up has been replaced, funny it lasted a few weeks and started happening again, maybe a coincidence. Started off it was only happening on headed paper now happens on headed and 80gsm.

Any help appriciated.

BZ951 toner soilage.

I have a 951 which every 100 to 200k copies coats the drum carriage with toner causing white and dark areas when the charge corona and LED get dirty.
It seems to be over toning, with the toner misting out of the cleaner unit & then on to the corona etc.
The machine is in a warehouse and only prints A4 invoices which are low coverage. It can print 8k in one night shift so it's a busy machine. It has done this a few times and each time the drum & dev are changed. It's ok for a while, then it does it again. I've carried out adjustments in the KM troubleshooting guide and its on the latest firmware but it still does it.
Has anyone heard about or seen anything like this?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

C224e Rare rectangular voids in scan files (compact PDF)

Hi everyone, thanks for reading.
2-3 times per month, customer is getting a single rectangular void area on a scan file, 1 inch by 3.5 inches. They are scanning legal documents through the ADF. They have never seen the void on prints or copies. Upgrading firmware from G9 to K2.
Has anyone ever seen this? Cannot scan in a sample due to confidentiality. I only have one sample.
