Jamming C654e j99-01

I hoping to get some help with a C654e jamming only out of tray 3, with a jam code of 99-01, have replaced the feed section, replaced the vertical transport section. Have not found nothing on ssd only this in the service manual Change the software SW setting that supports the function to output the paper without the paper jam (J99-01) even if paper size error or

type error occurs.

Software SW No. 145 HEX: 02 (Default is HEX: 00)

my next step is to replace the motors, clutch and boards, has anyone seen this before?




HP LJ 9050 tray 4 keeps changing to custom

I have a bunch of LJ 9050's on-site here, and several of them have this issue. Once in a while tray 4 (the large capacity tray) will show that it's set for custom sized paper, even though the slider in the tray itself is set for Standard. If you change the paper size in the settings back to standard, a message will show on the screen saying that it's recommended to manually move the paper size slider back to Standard (which it's already set for).

Has anyone else seen this issue? My first guess would be replacing the switch that detects whether it's set for standard/custom, however this has happened on at least 3 of these printers in the past few weeks so it's unlikely that 3 of these switches went bad at the same time (though not impossible... I may end up ordering a switch just to see). Updating firmware did not help. Thanks in advance.

C7055 - Replacing the Drum Unit - Service Manual ambiguity

Hi,
I need to change drums on our Canon iR C7055.
I have the Service Manual, and on the page 4-131 it says:

When Replacing the Drum Unit:
1) Disable the warm-up rotation (..)
2) Turn ON the main power and replace the Drum Unit
3) Turn ON the main power
(..)

I do not get it - when I execute the Point 1, the printer is already started, so what does the point 2 means? I am supposed to turn on something, which is already turned on??
Or should I just RESTART the printer?
The same in point 3 - after I replaced the drum, should I RESTART the printer again?

Is it correct that one have to replace the drum when the machine is on, or it needs to be turned off for that?
Is there anything more what the manual is not saying, what you have to care about when changing the drum?

Not sure if there is a correct section for this but here goes :)

We are tendering for a job that requires us to print and spiral bind around 2500 A4 books

The printing is no problem but we need to invest in a spiral binder and I have no experience of these.

Due to the timeframes, we need something quick and efficient - the largest book is 430 pages and should fit in a 2" spiral bind

A lot of the binders I have seen so far (via Google) only seem to have a punch capacity of 20-30 sheets - are there heavy duty punch/binders out there and can anyone point me in the right direction please?

Dead Machine no working display on MFC 9330CDW

Hey guys,
I have a problem with a MFC 9330CDW, I hope you’re familiar with this type of model
The display won’t turn on. It starts up you see the brother logo and that’s all. Nothing more. Try pressing the buttons to see if something is reacting but nothing. We then replaced the control panel with a new one in hope the problem will resolve but yet again the same issue. Machine starts brother logo that’s all. At last we changed the main pcb but nope it still stays the same. So in short a new main pcb and control panel with still the display not working
Any advice maybe what to do next??

Kyocera FS-C8520mfp will not copy or print in color

Hey guys,

I have a customer with a Kyocera FS-C8520mfp that will not copy or print in color. The customer has replaced the transfer belt and toners, but it still will not copy in color. When you do a color registration test print, the print will print out in black and white only. When you print the supplies page, the color bars print out in black and white only. The error codes are 7620 and 7612 which is a cyan ID sensor error.

Ive tried making sure full color is default and selected. I've tried resetting back to factory defaults. I've tried everything that I know of except to replace the PWB.

Can an you guys please help with which way I should go with this? Oh and firmware is system 11.

iRC5185 color misalignment

I have two iRC5185's and two i use for spare parts. Quite some time ago, one started having color alignment issues. It's secondary machine so we just used if for B&W until I could get to it.

I swapped the ITU assembly with one from a spare machine and it prints the EXACT same misalignment on the PG6 and PG10. I removed and cleaned the lenses on the pattern reader unit. What else could it be?

I'm not a tech so I know I'm limited, but I can swap parts/clean.

Paper is loaded portrait, so this would be the sub-scanning direction, which is why I thought it would be the ITU.

Sharp MX-2600 scanning very slow

I bought an off lease Sharp MX-2600. We set up scan to folder in our office. The problem was that the copier scanned very slow,like two minutes from start to finish. The scans did eventually get to the folder. We checked compression and all the usual stuff, I decided that maybe it was a windows 10 issue until I delivered the copier and had the same problem on the customers windows 7 PC. As a last ditch effort I scrolled through the network settings on the control panel and tried a reset the nic. What ever was wrong it solved the problem. We did have to add the IP address but now it works great. Hope this helps someone.

we went to print out counter and is missing from the user tools/counter show systems/copier/fax etc but counter not there. Does anybody know how to turn it on look in service manual but must be over looking it

How to factory reset LBP6650?

I have an LBP6650 at a clients and their i.t. are jumping up and down because they can't log in to it with the rui.
they said they have tried 7654321 and 1234567, plus a number of other logins which other devices are set to, still no joy.

Is there a way to factory reset it and start from scratch?

Hello,
I'm not a KM trained tech. We have in our copyshop C6500 that is doing some white lines, very thin one's, like in the atach, is doing them mostly on black but I can barely see them on magenta too.
Atached is a sim 53 with 125.

I have drawn myself those black lines to be easier to spot.
Since that white lines apear I have changed:
Developing unit and developer, charging corona, and switched betwen drum unit and led bar below drum unit.
And the line's are still there, if I stop a paper under the belt I can see those lines on it.
I have take the LSU unit's and clen them on the exterior. Transfer roller is almost new, filter's too.

Any other good ideeas?

Error Code U2-11 keeps reoccurring on a mx-4141n

I have a mx-4141n installed march of 2015 that has had u2-11 code 6 times, to date I've tried resetting eprom, firmware and new mfp from sharp:confused:, still getting code, any advise would be great. Thanks

Hi Guys,
As many of you know, the IR2525 does not have the "copier" icon to clear the error code in the"28" service mode....does anyone know ther propoer sequence to clear the fuser error code for this?

I'm having fun trying to get SMb scanning set up, authentication errors every time even though I know I'm using the correct user name and password. Windows 7 machine works first time but 8.1 not happening!!

Any ideas?

Miscellaneous Sharp MX-FN11 Finisher

We have an MX-M503 with an FN11 and the finisher is driving us crazy - every time we make a copy the finisher goes through a system check as if we just turned the machine on - we make a lot of copies throughout the day of small jobs, maybe just 5 pages each, but the jobs are slowed down because the finisher has to go through a complete status check every time. Basically the finisher is going up and down all day long - we did a firmware update but that didn't fix the problem. Has anyone else seen this? Thanks!
